About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spa Manager for a full-time position in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing and coordinating all activities related to spa services, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage, and locker room operations. The Spa Manager is crucial in ensuring both guest and employee satisfaction while actively contributing to the achievement of the operating budget.

Operational Management and Financial Oversight

The Spa Manager supports the overall management of spa operations, including financial aspects. This involves assuming the responsibilities of the Spa Director during their absence and ensuring that all employees are equipped with the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms. The role requires a strong understanding of budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to effectively manage departmental finances and inventories within budgetary guidelines. Maintaining the cleanliness of the spa and related areas is also a key responsibility, alongside understanding the department's impact on property financial goals.

Delivering Exceptional Guest Service

A primary focus of this position is to ensure and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Spa Manager is expected to lead by example in guest relations, actively engage with guests to gather feedback on service quality, and efficiently resolve any guest problems or complaints. This includes empowering employees to deliver excellent service and consistently emphasizing guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Team Leadership and Human Resources Activities

This role involves significant human resources responsibilities, focusing on team development and employee satisfaction. Key activities include:

  • Soliciting employee feedback through an open-door policy and reviewing satisfaction results to address concerns.
  • Ensuring employees understand expectations and operational parameters.
  • Bringing significant issues to the attention of the department manager and Human Resources.
  • Observing employee service behaviors and providing constructive feedback.
  • Participating in employee progressive discipline procedures and ongoing recognition programs.
  • Reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with the team.
  • Supporting new hire orientation and supervising ongoing training initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships within the team.
  • Ensuring fair and consistent administration of property policies, disciplinary procedures, and documentation according to SOPs and LSOPs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Spa Manager position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in spa operations or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry. The role requires demonstrated leadership abilities, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record in managing spa services, staff, and budgets effectively.
