About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Spa Manager to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities within the spa department, encompassing salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage, and locker room areas. The role focuses on ensuring exceptional guest and employee satisfaction while effectively managing the department's operating budget. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant professional area.

Operational and Financial Management

  • Assume responsibilities of the Spa Director in their absence.
  • Ensure all employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Understand budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in departmental financial management.
  • Manage supplies and equipment inventories within budget guidelines.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the spa and all related areas and equipment.
  • Understand the department's financial impact on overall property goals and manage operations to achieve or exceed budgeted targets.

Guest Experience and Service Standards

  • Set a positive example for guest relations and interactions.
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback on service levels and product quality.
  • Address and resolve guest problems and complaints effectively.
  • Empower employees to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and drive continuous service improvement.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Solicit employee feedback through an open-door policy and review satisfaction results to address concerns.
  • Ensure employees clearly understand expectations and operational parameters.
  • Escalate issues to the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.
  • Observe employee service behaviors and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures and ongoing recognition programs.
  • Review guest comment cards and satisfaction results with the team.
  • Support a comprehensive spa orientation program for new hires and supervise ongoing training initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with employees, fostering teamwork.
  • Recognize and celebrate team members' contributions and successes.
  • Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, and disciplinary procedures adhere to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
  • Assist the Spa Director with day-to-day spa operations as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in spa operations, guest services, or a related professional area.

Requirements

  • Requires 2-5 Years experience
