About the Opportunity
Business Umbrella is recruiting a Procurement Manager for a prominent education group, encompassing both school and university operations, in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, with responsibilities extending to Makkah, and reports directly to the Supply Chain Director. This role is exclusively open to Saudi Nationals.
Role Purpose
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the strategic sourcing and purchasing of all academic and operational goods and services across the group's campuses. The core objective is to ensure procurement activities are cost-effective, compliant with all regulations, and executed in a timely manner to support uninterrupted teaching and campus operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for a diverse range of items, including academic supplies, IT and lab equipment, furniture, catering, and facilities services.
- Manage comprehensive tender processes, including the preparation of RFP/RFQ documentation and the selection of suppliers across all campuses.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms effectively with both local and international vendors.
- Maintain an approved vendor list and conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers.
- Oversee procurement data management within ERP systems such as SAP MM or Oracle Procurement, and manage purchase order (PO) processing.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and contribute to the annual procurement budget planning process.
- Manage supplier-related risks, assessing financial health, single-source exposure, and compliance.
- Report monthly on spend analysis, achieved savings, and supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Supply Chain Director.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in procurement.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification is preferred.
- Prior experience within the education sector is strongly preferred.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from SAR 15,000 to SAR 25,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
