About the Role

Multilink Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Jiddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the implementation of HSE standards and safe working practices across various Oil & Gas projects within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and project safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Lead Toolbox Talks, Safety Inductions, and HSE awareness sessions.
  • Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) activities, ensuring proper safety controls are in place.
  • Conduct and review Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
  • Oversee high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, hot work, confined space entry, excavation, and scaffolding.
  • Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain daily safety reports, inspection checklists, and comprehensive HSE documentation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and project management to address safety observations and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in emergency drills and ensure adherence to emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with client and Saudi regulatory HSE requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture among all employees and subcontractors.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer. A proven track record in implementing and monitoring HSE standards in large-scale projects, particularly within the Oil & Gas sector, is essential.

Project Context

The Safety Officer will primarily work on Oil & Gas projects across Saudi Arabia, with a focus on sites within the Jiddah and Makkah regions. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment in dynamic project settings.

Safety Compliance and Culture

A core aspect of this position involves ensuring strict adherence to both client-specific and Saudi regulatory HSE requirements. The Safety Officer is also responsible for actively fostering and promoting a robust safety culture among all personnel, including employees and subcontractors, through consistent communication and enforcement of best practices.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in the Jiddah and Makkah regions of Saudi Arabia. The role requires regular presence on project sites to effectively manage and monitor safety operations.
