At Hilton, we are committed to providing our guests and team members with a safe and secure environment. As a Security Officer, your primary role will be to patrol, monitor, and observe security procedures to ensure the safety of all guests and staff, while managing any undesirable behavior.
Your Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control staff entrances.
- Conduct regular searches of bags carried by staff and report any discrepancies.
- Control the Goods pass out procedure for items purchased or legitimately obtained.
- Maintain oversight of contractors working in the hotel according to health and safety policies.
- Check goods received outside of normal hours.
- Maintain a record of departmental keys.
- Operate and monitor the CCTV system.
- Patrol the hotel regularly, ensuring fire safety procedures are adhered to.
- Facilitate cash transfers and monitor suspicious packages.
- Provide secure storage for oversized guest items.
- Maintain the Security Log Book and Incident Reports.
- Investigate and report theft and other incidents.
- Manage undesirable behavior professionally and liaise with authorities as needed.
- Report maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety Regulations.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or above.
- Good physical condition.
- At least two years of law enforcement experience, ideally in a Security Bureau or military training.
- Knowledgeable about fire procedures, disaster plans, and hotel evacuation protocols.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- SIA trained and licensed.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergencies.
- Can work independently or as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service environment.
- First Aid certification.
