Mishkat Agritech Farm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial operations within a dynamic agricultural environment.

The Role of Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing precise financial reports, and upholding robust internal controls. The role requires adherence to IFRS and Saudi regulations, with a strong focus on inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and VAT/e-invoicing compliance, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG context. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting, including physical and perpetual inventory reconciliations, and product costing.
• Monitor production costs and inventory valuation, investigating and explaining variances.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA requirements.
• Ensure invoicing processes comply with ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora) regulations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS, and internal control standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Provide cost and margin analysis to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Act as the primary finance liaison to the CEO on financial performance, cash position, and risk items.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
• Review accounting entries and provide guidance to junior finance team members.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and ERP systems, with experience in Odoo preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized professional accounting body.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
• Experience in agriculture or food production is highly preferred.
