About Kidana and the Role
Kidana is seeking a Specialist Writing & Editing to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of communication within the organization, specifically for materials originating from the CEO's office. The role focuses on ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism across all written content.
Role Purpose and Impact
The Specialist Writing & Editing will be responsible for upholding the CEO's communication standards and enhancing the effectiveness of all written materials. This involves a strong attention to detail, excellent writing and editing capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, edit, and proofread a diverse range of written materials, including speeches, presentations, memos, reports, and articles, on behalf of the CEO's office.
- Ensure all written content adheres to the organization's brand guidelines, established tone, and messaging principles.
- Revise and enhance the clarity, coherence, and overall effectiveness of content, ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and various stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for content creation and refinement.
- Review documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established guidelines.
- Verify facts, data, and references within written materials to ensure their reliability.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing processes to eliminate errors and improve readability.
- Maintain a consistent and high standard of quality for all written communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in writing and editing, specifically providing high-level support to executives.
- Prior experience in a similar organization with comparable operations is preferred.
Collaboration and Project Management
This role requires close collaboration with the CEO's office team, including executives, assistants, and other stakeholders, to gather information and coordinate content development and editing processes. The Specialist will also work with internal teams such as marketing, public relations, and legal departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. Effective management of multiple writing and editing projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines are essential.
