Role Overview: Sr. Maintenance Supervisor, Stamping

Lucid Motors Middle East is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor, Stamping to lead day-to-day maintenance operations at its Stamping Shop in AMP-2, King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Makkah, KSA. This full-time position requires an experienced professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience, capable of managing a team of up to 25 staff. The role involves leading all maintenance activities on the plant shop floor, particularly in an automotive manufacturing environment with a focus on launching new plants and/or equipment. This position offers exposure to EV car manufacturing, Stamping process/equipment technology, and professional maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and hourly personnel, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Conduct regular machinery inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance and improvement activities, minimizing disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a strong safety culture and acting as a first responder for safety occurrences.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity, ensuring objectives are met through standardized work.
  • Build team leader and team member capability through ongoing communication and recognition.
  • Manage daily maintenance functions for the facility and department, supporting the Lucid Production System and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Identify data gaps related to maintenance tasks and implement corrective actions.
  • Carry out supervisory administrative responsibilities, including shift briefings, attendance monitoring, and report compilation.
  • Conduct or delegate TPS audits, create One Point Lessons (OPL) and Safety Clips, and ensure staff understanding and compliance.
  • Manage Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other IT tools to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage resources to cover staff absence and workload, and conduct appraisals.
  • Monitor tasks and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience, with a significant portion spent launching new plants and/or new equipment within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role offers exposure to EV car manufacturing, Stamping process/equipment technology, and professional maintenance practices.
