About the Role

Arabian Trading Supplies (ATS), a member of the Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Group, is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to join their team. This full-time position is based in the Makkah region, covering operations in both Jeddah and Makkah. The Trade Marketing Manager serves as a key link between distributors and principals/brand owners, ensuring strategic brand objectives are effectively translated into actionable trade plans.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to drive brand visibility and product availability across various sales channels. This involves managing trade marketing budgets, aligning all stakeholders, and executing plans designed to achieve sales, market share, and profitability targets. The manager ensures consistent execution of brand strategies in the market and maintains strong relationships with principals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned principals, leading annual business planning processes including volume targets, pricing, promotions, and investments.
  • Manage principal expectations and provide timely reports on sales, coverage, distribution, and trade execution.
  • Present monthly and quarterly performance reviews, detailing achievements, gaps, action plans, and competitor insights.
  • Manage annual and quarterly trade marketing calendars, ensuring alignment with principal brand strategies and channel-specific plans for modern trade, traditional trade, wholesale, and e-commerce.
  • Lead new SKU launch plans, ensuring appropriate pricing, distribution, visibility, and availability.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets, BDA, and visibility spend in accordance with principal authorizations and agreements, tracking spend versus plan and ensuring compliance with MYN financial policies.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to implement trade programs, planograms, displays, POS materials, and visibility elements, monitoring in-market execution through visits and audits.
  • Analyze sales and trade performance, recommending corrective actions and conducting post-promotion evaluations.
  • Track distribution KPIs including numeric distribution, weighted distribution, out-of-stock percentage, and shelf share.
  • Support sales teams with necessary tools, training, and trade materials in coordination with principals.
  • Ensure all trade activities, including BDAs, credit notes, and discounts, adhere to internal policies and agreements with principals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in trade marketing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage principal relationships and lead business planning processes.
  • Experience in budget management and financial compliance within a trade marketing context.
  • Strong analytical skills for sales and trade performance evaluation, including KPI tracking.
  • Proven capability in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.

Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured by the following key performance indicators:

  • Achievement of agreed sales and growth targets with principals.
  • Effective management of trade marketing activities.
  • Quality of in-market execution, including visibility and planogram compliance.
  • Strength of principal relationships and satisfaction.
  • Distribution KPIs: Numeric Distribution (ND), Weighted Distribution (WD), and On-Shelf Availability (OSA).
