Activations Manager Events

About the Role

THA by Armonia is seeking an Activations Manager Events to join a dedicated full-time delivery team for a major international multi-sport event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role is situated within the client's event delivery function and will run from October to December 2026. It is a senior, hands-on position requiring the management of the activation program from planning through to dismantle, with a visible on-site presence throughout the delivery period.

Key Responsibilities

The Activations Manager will lead the planning and delivery of fan, sponsor, and brand activations across the event. This includes:

• Developing activation plans, layouts, content, and operating schedules.
• Coordinating builders, suppliers, sponsors, and rights holders.
• Overseeing on-site installation, daily operation, and dismantle of all activation areas.

The role requires close collaboration with the wider project team and reporting through the relevant manager, balancing creative delivery with tight build schedules, budgets, and quality standards within a fast-paced, multi-venue environment.

Activation Planning and Coordination

• Develop comprehensive activation plans, including layouts, content, and operating schedules.
• Align activation concepts with sponsor, rights holder, and overall event requirements.
• Coordinate all builders, suppliers, sponsors, and rights holders throughout the build and live operation phases.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for activation-related inquiries across the project team.

Programme Control

• Manage activation budgets, timelines, and quality standards on site.
• Supervise the installation, daily operation, and dismantle processes for all activation areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience (5-10 years) as an Activations Manager or in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering fan zones or activations at major sports events.
• International experience in delivering sports events, including multi-sport or major single-sport events.
• Strong skills in supplier management, budget control, and stakeholder engagement.
• Availability for the full engagement period from October to December 2026.
