The Labs Practice

This role is situated within the Internal Firm Services (IFS), a network of specialist support professionals that includes functions such as Clients & Markets, Finance, Human Capital, and Technology. IFS plays a vital role in ensuring PwC has the necessary resources and services across its business. The Labs Practice is PwC Middle East’s innovation space, where the team rapidly prototypes and builds proof-of-concepts around emerging technologies, with a primary focus on AI and immersive technology applications. The team transforms innovative ideas into working demonstrations for clients.

The Role: AI Engineer Associate

PwC Middle East is seeking an AI Engineer Associate to join the Labs Practice in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. As an Associate, Software Engineer, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, supporting the design, development, and testing of AI-driven prototypes, demos, and experimental solutions. The role provides an opportunity to learn from senior engineers and innovation leads while building hands-on experience with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and testing AI-powered prototypes and demonstrations under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Experiment with new tools, frameworks, and platforms, sharing findings with the team.
  • Help translate conceptual ideas into working components of larger demonstrations.
  • Participate in ideation sessions, design sprints, and innovation workshops.
  • Support client engagements, workshops, and experience center tours alongside senior team members.
  • Support the setup, preparation, and reset of the lab space for client visits, tours, workshops, and internal events.
  • Ensure lab equipment, devices, and prototyping materials are properly stored, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Develop the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, AI advancements, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, documentation, and research initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
