About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and prevent potential issues.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems within HVAC systems.
• Replace defective components and ensure all systems are functioning at peak performance.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with all applicable regulations.
• Test and calibrate HVAC equipment and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to resolve issues swiftly.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors and other members of the maintenance team to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, or a closely related field.
• Previous experience in air conditioning maintenance and repair is required.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Basic communication skills in English to understand instructions and communicate effectively.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for HVAC systems.
• Strong capabilities in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience with equipment installation and testing to ensure proper setup and functionality.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
