About the Role

SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, is seeking an Arabic Language Expert for a contract role based in Riyadh. This position involves reviewing AI-generated content and developing bilingual training materials to enhance AI model performance. The role is fully remote with flexible, work-from-anywhere hours.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating AI-generated Arabic and English responses, as well as creating high-quality bilingual training content. Your work will focus on assessing the reasoning quality and step-by-step problem-solving capabilities of AI models. You will provide expert feedback to ensure AI-generated answers are accurate, logical, and clearly explained, directly contributing to the improvement of leading AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and responses across various topics to guide AI learning, ensuring comprehensive subject matter understanding. (Minimum C1 English proficiency required).
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve model accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance. (Minimum C1 English proficiency required).
• Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI models for potential inaccuracies or biases, validating their reliability for various use cases. (Minimum C1 English proficiency required).

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Linguistics, Translation, Arabic Language, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Native or near-native Arabic proficiency with strong writing and editing skills in Modern Standard Arabic and at least one major dialect (Egyptian Arabic preferred).
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (reading and writing).
• 3+ years of professional experience in translation, localization, editorial QA, content quality, or linguistic review.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply detailed rubrics consistently.
• Strong fact-checking habits and comfort validating claims using reputable sources.
• Ability to identify reasoning gaps, methodological errors, and unclear explanations.
• Prior experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluation workflows is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Arabic localization conventions for MENA is preferred.

Work Environment

This is an hourly paid, fully remote contractor role. You will work independently in an asynchronous environment, requiring reliable availability and communication. While there is no immediate project for this role, qualified candidates will be contacted for relevant future opportunities and gain access to our expert network.
