About the Role

GymNation is seeking a full-time Architect to join its team in Riyadh. This role is central to managing and executing architectural projects, requiring a professional with 5-10 years of experience in the field. The Architect will be responsible for both project coordination and comprehensive architectural design tasks, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to specification.

Project Coordination and Management

• Prepare drawings and documentation logs as directed by the Project Manager.
• Collect all necessary data and photos from project sites.
• Prepare required reports for project progress and status.
• Control project contracts and ensure adherence to terms.
• Coordinate in the preparation of project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
• Participate in organizing, attending, and contributing to various project meetings as requested.
• Assist in documenting and following up on important actions and decisions made during meetings.
• Prepare necessary presentation materials for project meetings.
• Ensure that all project deadlines are met and identify necessary project changes.
• Research information as required to support project activities.
• Assist in performing administrative tasks, including preparing invoices, estimates, and scheduling meetings.

Architectural Design and Documentation

• Develop and prepare architectural designs and drawings based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and specifications.
• Efficiently operate computer-assisted design and drafting (CAD) workstations.
• Check and verify design drawings to ensure conformity with specifications and design data.
• Complete documentation and produce sets of TENDER PACKAGES according to current project and team requirements.
• Provide Architectural Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and prepare the TENDER BOQ.
• Perform other duties as required, including site visits and actual site measurements.
• Prepare as-built quantity surveying in coordination with all relevant engineers.
• Provide a General Weekly Report, including photos from the actual site, for management weekly meetings regarding project conditions.
• Capable of providing space planning, design elevations, and 3D models for visualization based on standard requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Architect position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in architectural design, project coordination, and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted design and drafting (CAD) software.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, specifications, and data verification.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare tender packages, BOQs, and as-built quantity surveying.
• Experience with site visits, measurements, and comprehensive project reporting.
• Capability in space planning, design elevations, and 3D modeling for project visualization.
• Effective coordination, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the GymNation team. The role involves both office-based tasks and required site visits.
