About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an Assistant Director of Government Sales to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on driving government segment sales, implementing sales strategies, and achieving revenue goals while ensuring high levels of guest and employee satisfaction. The role involves building and maintaining long-term customer relationships to meet property sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales leader to understand and effectively implement segment sales strategies.
  • Assist in developing and sustaining aggressive solicitation programs to increase business volume.
  • Work with the management team to create and execute a sales plan targeting revenue, customers, and market opportunities within the assigned segment.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal and external promotions.
  • Provide leadership to maximize revenue potential, setting personal booking goals as an example.
  • Recommend booking goals for sales team members.
  • Approve space releases for catering to optimize revenue in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager.
  • Participate in sales calls to acquire new business and close deals.
  • Execute the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and writing contracts.
  • Analyze market information using sales systems to implement strategies for achieving financial goals in rooms and catering.
  • Assist Revenue Management with accurate six-period projections.
  • Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify customer service standards.
  • Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Meet with clients during pre- and post-convention meetings to obtain feedback on services and overall satisfaction.
  • Empower employees to deliver excellent customer service and provide feedback on service behaviors.
  • Incorporate guest satisfaction into department meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a customer recognition program is active within the Sales department.
  • Execute company and property Brand Standards for customer service.
  • Participate in and practice daily service basics of the brand.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty by understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Understand the property’s primary target customer and service expectations to offer effective business solutions.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure property needs are met and sales efforts are complementary.
  • Work with Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to build and maintain key relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of sales strategies, customer relationship management, and revenue generation is essential for this role.
