About the Role
EY is seeking an Assistant Director Regional Client Executive Business Development to join its Business Development team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires over 10 years of experience and focuses on driving growth and client relationships within priority sectors under the Government and Infrastructure industry.
Role Context and Objectives
This client-centric and market-facing role involves leveraging EY's global network to deliver solutions for complex client needs. The position requires close collaboration with service line leaders, Regional Managing Partners, and Business Development teams to execute go-to-market strategies, manage account pipelines, and lead high-value pursuits aligned with national transformation priorities. The focus sectors include Sports, Culture, Entertainment & Tourism, Public Health, Labor, Education, Digital Government, Defense & Security, Public Finance, and Transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients, particularly at the C-level within government entities, semi-government organizations, and large national programs.
- Act as a consultative advisor, identifying sector-specific client needs and proposing solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Drive revenue, sales, and pipeline growth through account planning, opportunity management, and strategic initiatives across KSA priority sectors.
- Participate in complex pursuits, leading presentations, negotiations, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with service line leaders to develop and deploy sector-focused growth strategies.
- Provide market insights, including regulatory developments and competitive intelligence.
- Implement account management excellence using EY frameworks and monitor pipeline trends.
- Participate in revenue planning processes with a focus on strategic accounts.
- Coach and mentor junior Business Development staff to build high-performing teams with a strong understanding of local market priorities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven ability to sell complex solutions and services at the C-level across Infrastructure, Government Programs, Tourism, Sports, Health, Education, and related sectors.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Expertise in account management, pipeline development, and opportunity creation within government and large-scale environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and client-facing presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with tendering processes, public sector procurement, proposals, and pursuit methodologies.
- Ability to transform data into strategic insights.
- A graduate or higher degree in business or a related field.
- 10–15+ years of business development experience.
- Proven track record of driving growth, managing multiple accounts, and delivering measurable results.
- Experience in government-driven environments and multi-country exposure is preferred.
- An established network within priority sectors is preferred.
- Strong understanding of KSA market dynamics and transformation programs is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
