About the Role

Prince Sultan University, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking to appoint an academic professional to the Communications and Networks Engineering Department within the College of Engineering for the Academic Year 2026/2027, commencing in August 2026. Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering, including Electrical Circuits, Electronics Engineering, Advanced Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Design, Logic Design, and Senior Design Project.
• Develop and deliver course content based on the applicant's expertise and background.
• Engage in scholarly activity and scientific research.
• Contribute to the development of a Nanoelectronics Center within the department, particularly if possessing expertise in nanoelectronics, microelectronics, VLSI design, or semiconductor devices.
• Contribute to the department's academic mission and strategic growth.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality in teaching, research, and services.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Expertise in teaching core Electrical Engineering subjects such as Electrical Circuits, Electronics Engineering, Advanced Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Design, Logic Design, and Senior Design Project.
• Knowledge and experience in areas such as Nanoelectronics, Microelectronics, VLSI Design, and Semiconductor Devices.
• Proficiency in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, including Synopsys and Cadence, for IC design, simulation, and verification.
• Experience in Analog and/or Digital VLSI design, layout, or fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with Advanced CMOS technologies, RFIC, System-on-chip (SoC) design, or mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience or interest in developing funded research projects, industry collaboration, and technology development.
• Demonstrated scholarly activity and a strong research profile.
• Ability to secure external research funding and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives.

Contract Details and Benefits

This is a full-time contract position, renewable annually based on Dean/Director and student evaluation. The application deadline is August 31, 2026, with a start date in August 2026 for the Academic Year 2026/2027. Benefits include a competitive salary package based on academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience. Medical insurance coverage is provided for the employee and dependents residing within the Kingdom. A transport allowance is included. Round-trip tickets for annual leave are provided for the employee, spouse, and two children. Employees receive paid annual (summer) vacation of two months, plus two local paid holidays. Tuition fees support for children attending school within the Kingdom is available (maximum SAR 30,000). Free, furnished accommodation with essential utilities and maintenance is provided, subject to availability, or a housing allowance based on academic rank. An end-of-service yearly gratuity begins from the second year of continuous service (minimum 2 years completed).
