About the Role

Leo Burnett is seeking an Associate Business Director - Creative Operations to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and focuses on leading creative operations to ensure efficient agency functioning and timely client deliverable. The role reports to the Business Director - Creative Operations and involves close collaboration with all stakeholders to oversee creative resource capacity and utilization.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Associate Business Director - Creative Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the creative department, acting as a key liaison between creative and account management teams. This role ensures the agency operates efficiently, akin to a profit center, by resolving production and workflow issues, defining optimal resources, and maintaining processes that support the agency's success. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges within the creative workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the pre-briefing phase to assess workload implications and anticipate needs.
  • Collaborating with creative resources and communications teams throughout the creative development process.
  • Taking ownership of and regularly updating the capacity plan.
  • Reviewing new assignment briefs to ensure alignment with forecasting and to define creative requirements.
  • Evaluating available creative resources against project needs and preparing staffing solutions.
  • Organizing and attending creative briefings and pit stops.
  • Tracking individual creative contributions and managing all resources to ensure projects are appropriately staffed.
  • Ensuring department leads review all briefs before work is dispatched.
  • Managing team time, prioritizing workloads, and making recommendations for timely delivery.
  • Serving as a Casting Manager, understanding employee skill sets to map talent to business needs.
  • Anticipating trends and developing innovative solutions for the creative group.
  • Monitoring the group for efficiencies, reporting concerns and opportunities.
  • Managing workload allocations and monitoring timesheets and vacations.
  • Maintaining the asset management repository and acting as a gatekeeper.
  • Guiding adherence to GDPR policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a relevant operations-related job role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategy, creative, data & analytics, and digital & film production processes and terminology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong negotiation abilities.
  • The capacity to take calculated risks.
  • An operations background coupled with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to facilitate negotiation and liaison with key stakeholders.
