About the Role

W Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Restaurants in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in restaurant management. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, and contributing to guest and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily supervision of restaurant and bar operations, and room service if applicable.
• Support menu planning, maintain sanitation standards, and assist service staff during peak meal periods.
• Handle employee questions and concerns, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Supervise daily shift operations and oversee restaurant areas in the absence of senior management.
• Ensure employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Communicate any food quality or service level issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures, including alcohol beverage service laws.
• Manage operations to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Perform duties of restaurant employees and related departments as needed.
• Open and close restaurant shifts.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service.
• Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial objectives.
• Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service and handle guest issues and complaints.
• Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
• Meet and greet guests.
• Assist in identifying training needs and implementing training plans.
• Supervise ongoing training initiatives and utilize on-the-job training tools.
• Communicate performance expectations and provide coaching and counseling to employees.
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems.
• Recognize good quality products and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in restaurant and bar operations management.
• Demonstrated ability to improve guest and employee satisfaction.
• Experience in staff training and development.
