About the Role

Ali Bin Ali Hospital is seeking a qualified Biomedical Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time, on-site position is integral to ensuring the optimal functioning of the hospital's medical equipment and supporting its comprehensive healthcare services.

Ali Bin Ali Hospital is a privately owned healthcare facility with approximately 10 years of experience in the medical field, under the leadership of CEO Mr. Waleed Bin Ali. The hospital provides a wide array of medical and surgical specialties through 45 consulting clinics. It is equipped with 4 operating rooms, a catheterization laboratory, an emergency department, 6 labor and delivery rooms, 10 adult ICU beds, 15 NICU beds, a radiology department, and a fully equipped laboratory, offering an advanced environment for clinical and technical professionals.

Role Responsibilities

The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for the safe, effective, and reliable operation of all medical equipment within the hospital. Key duties include:

  • Installing, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical devices across various departments including clinics, operating rooms, ICUs, NICUs, radiology, and laboratories.
  • Performing scheduled preventive and necessary corrective maintenance on medical equipment.
  • Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for equipment servicing and parts.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and a comprehensive equipment inventory.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare standards and hospital policies.
  • Collaborating with clinical and technical teams to support the safe and efficient use of medical equipment.
  • Participating in equipment inspections and contributing to medical technology improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this role must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Valid classification/registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), if applicable.
  • A strong foundational understanding of Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with a range of hospital medical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support devices.
  • Proficiency in equipment maintenance, encompassing troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification.
  • Experience in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and medical device safety requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position located at Ali Bin Ali Hospital in Riyadh. The role involves close collaboration with clinical and technical teams within a well-equipped healthcare facility.
