BO Transmission Engineer

About the Role

Ericsson is seeking a BO Transmission Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission and IP network infrastructure. The role is critical for ensuring network performance and service availability through technical support, configuration, and incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end second-line troubleshooting across IP and transmission networks, including routers, switches, MPLS environments, and transmission nodes.
• Manage incident, problem, and configuration activities to maintain network performance and stability.
• Support investigations into transmission-related outages and service degradation.
• Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network devices and services.
• Conduct node acceptance, audits, and network health assessments.
• Collaborate with field, access, operations, and third-party teams to resolve complex issues.
• Follow up on transmission design-related matters and support implementation activities.
• Open and manage escalations with third-line support when required.
• Review and verify transmission-related network changes and activities.
• Participate in technical investigations, analysis sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

The role operates within a 24/5 shift environment and requires on-call support during weekends when necessary. The position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
