About the Business Development Manager Role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 75 years of experience in real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources, is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on enhancing the company's market presence and driving revenue growth through strategic business development and marketing initiatives.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary objective of this role is to lead business development and marketing activities for Turner & Townsend's business in Saudi Arabia. This involves promoting the company's market profile, cultivating relationships with prospective and key clients, and enabling revenue growth. The role will provide clear strategies and tactical support for marketing campaigns, communications, bidding processes, and key client engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing and business development plans for Saudi Arabia, collaborating with strategic leads, sector specialists, and the Head of Middle East Business Generation.
  • Ensure alignment with the regional Key Client Programme methodology and utilize appropriate tools.
  • Support large and complex bids, including assistance with bid strategy and execution.
  • Proactively monitor and influence bid conversion rates through analysis and dissemination of reporting, and by capturing best practices.
  • Support the development and capture of bidding tools, case studies, and CVs.
  • Provide advice and support to technical teams on awards, social media, collateral, and marketing channels.
  • Support the development and execution of the regional internal communications plan.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, marketing, and bidding within the professional services sector, preferably in the built environment.
  • A relevant university-level qualification and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Agility and the capacity to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to identify and shape key messages.
  • Credible and effective communication regarding marketing and business development best practices.

Work Location and Reporting Structure

This role is based in the Turner & Townsend office in Riyadh. The position reports into the Head of Middle East Business Generation. While there is no direct line management responsibility, some administrative support is available. This role is not currently client-facing, and there is no anticipated requirement for wider travel.
