Overview of the Role

Hiresquad Resources is seeking a Controls and Governance Consultant for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role serves as the primary control point within the cards function, ensuring operational discipline, compliance, and accuracy across all card products and related activities. The consultant acts as a trusted partner to leadership, safeguarding processes, validating partner deliverables, and maintaining the integrity of customer-facing information and internal documentation.

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding robust governance frameworks and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards. This involves a blend of oversight, documentation, and active stakeholder engagement to maintain operational excellence and compliance within the cards business.

Controls and Oversight

  • Act as the internal accountability point for governance within the cards team.
  • Review partner and vendor reports to ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and operational standards.
  • Monitor contractual timelines, identifying expirations and escalating renewal or closure requirements.
  • Oversee telesales scripts and operations to ensure accuracy and consistency with product documentation.
  • Ensure customer-facing channels, including websites and applications, present accurate and up-to-date card product information.

Documentation and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for card business functions.
  • Audit marketing and product collateral to prevent outdated or conflicting content.
  • Review contracts, agreements, and business cases prior to escalation to leadership.
  • Support the Head of Cards in governance and oversight activities.
  • Collaborate with product managers, operations, telesales, and vendors to align practices with compliance requirements.
  • Influence stakeholders to enforce standards, drive corrective actions, and close identified gaps.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with a structured and methodical approach.
  • Strong ability to review and interpret contracts, partner agreements, and reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven persuasive influence.
  • A persistent and proactive personality, capable of balancing control responsibilities with strong working relationships.
  • Comfortable working directly within card product teams and supporting senior leadership.

Employment Details

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in controls, governance, or a related compliance function within the financial services sector.
