About the Role
Alfanar, a Saudi company with an international presence, is seeking a Corporate Business Planning Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on leading strategic planning, performance management, and annual planning processes to ensure alignment across business units and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Role Purpose and Context
The Corporate Business Planning Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational planning of the company. This involves developing and implementing corporate strategic objectives, overseeing performance management frameworks, and coordinating annual planning and budgeting cycles. The role is critical in ensuring that all business units operate in alignment with the overarching corporate strategy and contribute to the company's long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corporate strategic objectives and plans.
- Cascade and align strategic objectives across the Group, including sectors, subsidiaries, and business units.
- Oversee the collection, consolidation, and analysis of strategic performance evaluation results and KPI data.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for underperforming KPIs and propose actionable improvement plans.
- Manage the prioritization of strategic projects based on organizational goals and resource availability.
- Select, develop, and maintain data platforms for reporting and executive decision-making, standardizing data systems across sectors.
- Standardize annual planning templates and ensure consistent adoption across all business units, monitoring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyze performance deviations in annual plans and prepare executive reports, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage a robust second line of management by recruiting, recognizing, and cultivating high performers.
- Develop organizational structures according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available and deployed.
- Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment as per standard regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management or any relevant field.
- 5 to 10 years of work experience in a related field.
Role Accountabilities
The role holder must take full responsibility for their operations as per the job description and required deliverables, adhering to general company guidelines. This includes anticipating problems, taking proactive steps to prevent them, and making necessary and proper timely decisions. The individual must deliver required results in a timely manner with the required quality and cost, making a tangible difference and exceeding business expectations. They must be able to transform corporate goals into business plans, monitor their execution, and initiate actions to strengthen results. Budget and expense control to achieve optimum cost efficiency is also a key accountability. The role requires adaptation to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models, while upholding Alfanar's commitment to quality as a prime competitive advantage.
