About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with a background in Real Estate and a strong foundation in Quantity Surveying, ideally gained through complex infrastructure or real estate projects. While consultancy experience is preferred, candidates with experience working for main contractors are also encouraged to apply.
Role Overview
As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing cost-related aspects of projects. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage your own deliverables, and collaborate effectively within a team. A commitment to maintaining high professional standards and supporting the development of junior staff through knowledge sharing is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Perform pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
- Conduct estimating and cost planning, including the production and presentation of final cost plans.
- Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification, tender list creation, preliminaries, tender analysis, report production, and compilation of contractual documents.
- Effectively manage post-contract cost variances and the change control process.
- Prepare and present monthly post-contract cost reports to the client.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Lead cost management teams where appropriate, ensuring accountability for all responsibilities.
- Support the development and acquisition of new business opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry and technical matters.
- Proficiency in CostX is essential.
- Professional membership, such as MRICS, is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a remote location.
