About the Cyber Defense Associate Role

Accenture Middle East is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Defense Associate to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to build a career in cybersecurity. The role involves monitoring security alerts, assisting with incident response, and contributing to the organization's overall security posture.

As a Cyber Defense Associate, you will collaborate with IT teams to maintain a secure environment, support compliance initiatives, and participate in the daily operations of our cybersecurity defenses. This is a full-time opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts generated by various tools, including SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall, and email security systems.
  • Review and escalate suspicious activities, phishing emails, malware alerts, and unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate teams.
  • Assist in basic incident response activities, including evidence collection, documentation of findings, and support for remediation steps.
  • Perform daily security checks and prepare operational security reports to track security status and trends.
  • Support user access reviews to ensure access rights align with company policies and security best practices.
  • Assist in vulnerability management activities by tracking open vulnerabilities and following up on their remediation.
  • Maintain accurate cybersecurity documentation, logs, and incident records for auditing and analysis.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for security monitoring and escalation processes.
  • Support compliance with internal security policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to effectively resolve security-related issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
  • A foundational understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, including malware, phishing, firewalls, vulnerabilities, and access control.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, and ports.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and fundamental IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and findings.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • A keen attention to detail to identify and address potential security threats.
  • A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and security challenges.
  • Ability to work in shifts if required by operational needs.
