About the Role: Cybersecurity Operations Expert

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Expert to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on strengthening our operational security posture across enterprise IT environments. The expert will play a critical role in protecting our digital assets and ensuring robust security operations.

Role Context and Focus

As a key member of the first line of defense, this role is dedicated to the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of operational security controls. The focus is on proactive threat detection, effective security event response, and efficient remediation coordination. This position is distinct from independent oversight, policy governance, regulatory compliance assurance, or internal audit functions, emphasizing hands-on operational security.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and continuously improve operational security controls across systems, networks, endpoints, applications, and user environments.
• Perform continuous monitoring of security alerts, events, and operational security platforms, including email security.
• Conduct initial triage, investigation, containment support, and escalation for security incidents, ensuring timely recovery actions.
• Support vulnerability management by tracking findings, coordinating remediation with infrastructure and application teams, and validating risk closure.
• Collaborate closely with IT operations, network, cloud, server, endpoint, and application teams to ensure effective implementation and functioning of security controls.
• Support identity and access security operations, including reviewing privileged access activities and enforcing security baselines.
• Maintain incident response procedures, playbooks, runbooks, and other operational documentation.
• Monitor and support security-related patching, platform upgrades, and operational technology refresh activities.
• Review and validate security integrations between cybersecurity tools, IT systems, cloud platforms, and third-party solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity activities and processes, supporting business resilience by reducing operational cyber risk exposure.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, or security engineering functions.

Essential Skills and Expertise

• Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, attack techniques, threat detection methodologies, and security operations best practices.
• Demonstrated experience working in hybrid environments, encompassing on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
