About the Role

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Data Protection & DLP Design Expert to join their team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on safeguarding organizational data against leakage and ensuring the secure design and governance of backup and data protection mechanisms.

Role Overview

The primary objective of this role is to translate data classification requirements into practical, enforceable controls. The expert will be responsible for reviewing existing data protection measures against industry best practices and NCA ECC standards, ensuring robust data security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate data classification requirements into actionable controls, defining sensitive data and its protection protocols.
  • Design and implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) coverage across endpoints, email, web, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure seamless DLP integration with critical tools such as Email Gateway, MDM, endpoint agents, and proxy/CASB solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of current DLP and data protection setups against best practices and NCA ECC standards, proposing necessary improvements.
  • Define secure baselines, including policy settings, exception handling procedures, tuning, encryption alignment, and retention policies.
  • Develop SOC/SIEM monitoring and response use-cases for scenarios like suspected data exfiltration and policy violations.
  • Prepare and deliver evidence artifacts for audits, alongside runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data protection, DLP design, and governance.
  • Strong understanding of data classification frameworks and their operationalization into technical controls.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and enhancing DLP and data protection architectures against compliance standards, specifically NCA ECC.
  • Demonstrated ability to define secure configuration baselines and exception-handling processes.
  • Experience collaborating with SOC/SIEM teams to define monitoring and incident response use-cases.
  • Excellent documentation skills for audit evidence, runbooks, and SOPs.
  • Strong communication skills for delivering training and knowledge transfer.
  • Arabic language proficiency is required.
