About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly experienced Design Manager (Civils) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to a significant regional program focused on a major mixed-use development, encompassing sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure. As a delivery partner, Mace requires skilled professionals to lead integrated teams through all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design management process for large-scale Roads and Bridges packages, including the management of technical design consultancies.
• Oversee the daily activities of design management teams across various projects within the program.
• Ensure adherence to project briefs, governance frameworks, and stakeholder requirements.
• Provide operational support and coordinate project deliverables.
• Analyze, interpret, and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and management review data to support decision-making.
• Contribute to business development and work-winning initiatives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships, leveraging Mace's global network and expertise.
• Champion the net-zero carbon transition through proactive emissions management strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A degree qualification in a relevant subject is essential.
• Proven track record in managing the design process for large civils/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments, and health and safety legislation is required.
