Role Overview

The Designer at Mawj Marketing is a Graphic & Motion Designer responsible for creating high-quality creative work across various platforms and formats. This role requires an understanding of marketing, audiences, platforms, brands, and performance to translate creative direction into visuals that communicate clearly and support business objectives. The position is full-time and on-site in Riyadh, requiring 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design social media and campaign assets for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Google, and other digital channels.
• Create both organic and paid advertising creatives.
• Produce Arabic-first and bilingual Arabic/English designs.
• Adapt campaign concepts into multiple formats, placements, dimensions, and platform requirements.
• Edit short-form video, including Reels, Stories, advertisements, campaign cutdowns, and social content.
• Create motion graphics and simple animations using tools such as Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Work within existing brand identities while maintaining strong visual consistency.
• Develop scalable template systems and design families for recurring content.
• Support brand identity development, campaign launches, presentations, print materials, and events.
• Prepare professional production-ready files for both digital and print use.
• Maintain correct platform specifications, safe zones, resolutions, export settings, and file formats.
• Organize working files professionally for team access and continuity.
• Participate in brainstorming and concept-development sessions.
• Translate creative direction and marketing strategy into visual execution.
• Handle feedback professionally while maintaining design quality.
• Work across multiple brands and projects simultaneously.
• Deliver creative consistently within weekly content calendars and campaign deadlines.
• Stay updated on Saudi creative trends, social-media formats, advertising trends, design systems, and emerging creative technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in graphic and motion design.
• Strong Arabic design capability, including Arabic-first design, typography, composition, and bilingual Arabic/English layouts.
• Ability to adapt creative concepts for Saudi audiences, understanding hierarchy, spacing, readability, and cultural context in Arabic communication.
• Proficiency in short-form social video editing, including Reels, Stories, and paid ad variations.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is highly preferred for motion graphics and video editing.
• Demonstrated practical use of AI in creative workflows for ideation, moodboards, image/video generation, storyboarding, asset variations, retouching, research, and production efficiency.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi market, consumers, local visual culture, and current content trends.
• Meaningful experience producing creative work for brands operating in Saudi Arabia.

Portfolio Requirements

Applications must include a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant experience. The portfolio should ideally feature:

• Published social-media work.
• At least 3 strong Arabic or bilingual Arabic/English examples.
• At least one paid advertising or campaign example.
• Brand identity or brand-system work.
• A short-form video or motion piece personally edited or animated.
• Examples clearly demonstrating personal contribution.
• At least one example showing meaningful use of AI within the creative workflow.

Candidates should be prepared to explain the brief, their role, the creative idea, personal contributions, and the final outcome for selected projects.

Candidate Profile

Mawj Marketing seeks designers who are fast without sacrificing quality, visually strong yet commercially minded, and curious about marketing. Ideal candidates are comfortable working on several brands simultaneously, able to take direction while contributing ideas, highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with deadlines. Strong problem-solvers who constantly learn new creative technologies and AI tools, and are capable of building repeatable systems, are preferred. Candidates should be interested in growing with an expanding creative and marketing team.

Additional Information

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a practical creative assessment to evaluate design judgment, Arabic/bilingual execution, speed, creative thinking, and ability to work from a marketing brief. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Riyadh and comfortable in a fast-moving agency environment handling multiple brands and projects simultaneously. Candidates who can start as soon as possible will be prioritized.
