About Qiddiya

Qiddiya Investment Company, located in Riyadh, is seeking a Director Health & Safety (DEL ) to lead the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategy for one of its major precincts. This full-time role is central to ensuring a safe and compliant environment throughout the construction lifecycle of large-scale projects.

Role Overview

The Director Health & Safety will oversee the development and execution of robust health and safety programs. This position involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a safe working environment for all employees and contractors. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to implement best practices, manage risk, and reduce incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation and implementation of the health and safety strategy.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for large-scale construction projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee health and safety training initiatives and promote continuous awareness across all levels of the construction workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with project management, contractors, and external agencies to integrate health and safety considerations into all construction phases.
  • Monitor health and safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for executive management.
  • Advocate for a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to construction health and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in health and safety management within large-scale construction programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading HSE programs and initiatives in complex construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
