About Cigar Square and the Role
Cigar Square, established in 1997, has grown from a small cigar shop in Las Vegas to an international presence, including locations in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The company focuses on premium cigars and authentic experiences, celebrating cigars as cultural ambassadors that foster connection and community. We are seeking a Duty Free Account Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing and expanding our duty-free retail and travel-related accounts.
Role Overview
The Duty Free Account Manager will be central to overseeing key customer relationships within the duty-free channel. This role involves negotiating commercial terms, ensuring optimal product assortment, and maintaining high standards of product presentation. The position requires a strategic approach to account management, focusing on growth and compliance within the premium cigar segment.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Monitor sales performance and analyze market trends within the duty-free sector.
- Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management review.
- Coordinate with internal teams on inventory management, logistics, and merchandising efforts.
- Conduct visits to client locations as required to support account needs.
- Support promotions and brand activations to maximize visibility and revenue.
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to promptly address any issues.
- Ensure high service standards and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally within duty-free, travel retail, or FMCG environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of retail operations, merchandising standards, and customer experience in premium or luxury product segments.
- Familiarity with cigars, luxury goods, or hospitality industries is beneficial.
Essential Skills
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex commercial agreements.
- Solid analytical skills, including experience with sales reporting, forecasting, and using data for strategic decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Genuine interest in cross-cultural engagement.
Work Setting and Candidate Profile
This role is based on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires the ability to travel to customer locations as needed. The successful candidate will be adaptable to a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
