GE Vernova is offering an Early Career Training (ECT) program for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Construction & Commissioning. This internship opportunity is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience seeking to develop their skills in site management within the energy sector. The program focuses on practical application and professional development in a dynamic project environment.

Role Overview: Construction & Commissioning Site Management

This role involves active participation in the construction and commissioning phases of projects, with a strong emphasis on site management. The ECT Electrical Engineer will contribute to various aspects of project execution, from planning and scheduling to quality and safety implementation, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and contractual timelines. The position requires interfacing with multiple internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing project scope and technical specifications for new tenders and site execution works (ITO & OTR Functions).
• Monitoring project contractual timelines and major milestone targets.
• Assisting in the planning and scheduling of all construction and commissioning activities within project timeframes.
• Supporting site organization, establishment, and development processes.
• Ensuring the implementation of all site quality and safety procedures.
• Implementing site installation and commissioning method statements and risk assessments.
• Interfacing with Project Management for execution planning and addressing hindrances.
• Coordinating with Engineering for design and drawing approvals from clients and consultants.
• Collaborating with Procurement & Sourcing regarding materials deliveries.
• Reviewing installation drawings and overseeing execution according to specifications.
• Forecasting critical tasks and material requirements to prevent delays.
• Preparing and monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinating with clients and consultants on progress status, three-week look-ahead schedules, reporting, and invoicing.
• Coordinating with various agencies and planning resources for each activity.
• Monitoring the progress of electrical equipment installation and commissioning works.
• Reporting non-conformances related to equipment or component failures.
• Reporting on the Return on Experience (ROE) for major equipment to support continuous improvement processes.
