About the Role

ABB is seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner for its Electrification business in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for individuals with a strong understanding of procurement processes and a passion for technology and digitalization. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the procurement organization and driving value at the country level, leveraging ABB's purchasing strength to meet critical performance objectives.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As the EL Country Procurement Business Partner SA, you will be the primary Procurement contact for the Electrification business in Saudi Arabia. Your responsibilities will encompass stakeholder management, strategy deployment, sourcing and procurement execution, contract and supplier management, digitalization, change management, compliance, and operational procurement.

• Serve as the main Procurement liaison for the Electrification business in Saudi Arabia, building strong relationships with country leadership and functional stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of global and regional Indirect category strategies, driving compliance with preferred suppliers and contracted agreements.
• Identify and execute cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value creation opportunities, leading local sourcing initiatives (RFPs, RFQs, eAuAuctions).
• Ensure timely contract negotiations and renewals, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance with ESG and sustainability goals.
• Champion digital transformation by integrating AI and digital best practices into procurement processes and driving adoption of new tools.
• Act as a change agent, train colleagues, and continuously seek improvements and automation in procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to global and local procurement policies, support audit readiness, and monitor supply chain and cyber risks.
• Lead a team of local Indirect Buyers, overseeing transactional activities and supplier onboarding in line with KPIs, and conducting analyses to implement best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in procurement. Candidates should be tech-minded, eager to learn new skills, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments. Experience in collaborating with diverse teams across regions and a passion for industrial digitalization are essential.
