About the Opportunity

Tandem Interim is seeking an Electrical Infrastructure Consultant to support a leading national authority overseeing industrial cities and zones in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site contract position based in Riyadh, requiring 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering. The consultant will play a critical role in ensuring the successful operation and optimal delivery of electricity across the client's industrial cities.

Role Context and Objectives

The Electrical Infrastructure Consultant will work directly with the client and its tenants, who lease land or Ready Built Factories, to address electrical service needs. This involves assessing current infrastructure, resolving issues, and developing clear technical studies and recommendations. The primary objective is to ensure reliable power delivery and support the strategic expansion of electrical capacity within these industrial zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and provide advice on electrical distribution networks, substation design, planning, and capacity across industrial cities.
• Conduct load and demand studies for industrial and commercial tenant sites.
• Evaluate power quality, reliability, and outage management issues.
• Support electrical capacity planning and expansion initiatives for industrial zones.
• Ensure alignment with relevant regulatory and utility standards, including Saudi Electricity Company requirements.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and audits for facilities and tenants, involving site visits as required.
• Engage directly with tenants and facility operators on-site to understand and resolve their electrical needs.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable studies, reports, and presentations (*, PowerPoint, Excel).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Strong technical background in electrical engineering, with deep expertise in distribution networks and substations.
• Experience with medium and high voltage systems.
• Proven experience conducting load/demand studies and infrastructure audits.
• Willingness and ability to be based on-site in Riyadh for the full contract duration.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior experience within Saudi Arabia's industrial or utility sector.
• Familiarity with government industrial city or authority operations.
• Currently based in or near Riyadh, or able to relocate quickly.
