About the Role

Maveric Systems is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Release Engineering Architect to establish and lead its enterprise-wide Release Management capability. This full-time strategic leadership role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on defining the release management vision, operating model, governance, standards, and tooling. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing execution team, transforming release management into a predictable, automated, and risk-driven capability that enables frequent, reliable, and business-aligned software delivery across diverse technology platforms, applications, cloud environments, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the enterprise Release Management strategy, aligning it with business and technology objectives.
• Establish standardized release governance, policies, standards, controls, workflows, and approval mechanisms across all application portfolios.
• Develop enterprise release calendars and planning frameworks, ensuring a holistic approach to environments, DevSecOps pipelines, and project releases.
• Design the organizational structure for the Enterprise Release Management Office, recruiting, mentoring, and developing a team of Release Managers, Coordinators, and Deployment Engineers.
• Lead the planning and execution of enterprise-wide releases, coordinating cross-functional activities and managing readiness assessments.
• Conduct Go/No-Go governance meetings, ensure completion of deployment checklists, and coordinate rollback planning and production readiness.
• Establish release governance forums, executive reporting, and identify release risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Drive release automation initiatives across CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with DevSecOps teams to improve deployment maturity and reduce manual intervention.
• Partner with Engineering Leadership, Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure & Cloud Teams, DevSecOps, Information Security, Testing & Quality Engineering, Service Management, and Business Leadership.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Experience: 18+ years in Enterprise IT, with a minimum of 5 years leading enterprise Release Management. Proven experience establishing Release Management functions from the ground up and leading releases across large-scale, multi-application environments. Experience with Agile, DevOps, and traditional delivery models is required. Experience in regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance is highly desirable.
• Consulting & Leadership: Strong consulting skills and executive presence, with the ability to present solutions to complex enterprise challenges at the CXO level. Proven experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Competencies: Strategic thinking with the ability to define enterprise operating models. Demonstrated experience building and scaling high-performing teams. Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent planning, governance, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to influence without direct authority and maintain composure during critical production events.

• ITIL 4 Foundation / Managing Professional
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• PMP or PRINCE2
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
• Azure DevOps, AWS, or OCI certifications (preferred)
• DevOps Institute certifications (preferred)
