Job Description
About the Field Service Engineer Role
Radiometer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its Customer Support function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is part of the Service Team, reporting to the Service Team Leader C/E. The role involves ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of Radiometer's diagnostic analyzers, contributing to the company's vision of improving global healthcare through reliable and efficient patient diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and servicing of analyzers for the assigned installed base.
- Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring they are properly calibrated.
- Complete assigned Regulatory Field Action Notes and Technical updates within specified due dates, adhering to all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Install analyzers and conduct customer user training as needed.
- Manage spare parts inventory by accurately recording parts used on service jobs.
- Comply with company regulations, guidelines, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Upgrade operating systems and ensure devices are cybersecurity compliant.
- Provide basic IT troubleshooting for devices running Windows 7/10/11.
- Add/edit IP addresses on devices and confirm connectivity to Middleware or LIS/HIS/EMR systems.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- University graduation in biomedical engineering, mechanical/electromechanical engineering, electronic engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a field service engineer within the healthcare industry, specifically with Medical & POC devices/Diagnostic equipment.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, networking/connectivity setup, and IT system upgrades.
- Proficiency in basic command prompts and connectivity testing of devices with middleware or LIS/HIS/EMR.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience working with Java.
- Experience working with Mirth.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools & CRM.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is part of the Customer Support function and operates within the Service Team.
