Fixed Assets Accountant

About the Role

TawanTech is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role is central to managing and maintaining the fixed assets accounting function, ensuring accurate records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial control over capital expenditures and fixed assets.

Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting, from capitalization to disposal. The Fixed Assets Accountant will ensure that all asset records are accurate, comply with established accounting standards and internal policies, and contribute to robust financial control over the company's capital investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
• Review and process asset capitalization requests in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Process fixed asset transfers, disposals, and write-offs.
• Perform periodic verification of fixed assets and investigate any discrepancies.
• Review CAPEX requests and ensure compliance with approved accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor capital projects and ensure timely capitalization upon project completion.
• Prepare management reports and analysis related to CAPEX, depreciation, and fixed assets.
• Calculate and review depreciation expenses and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant fixed assets documentation and reconciliations.
• Recommend process improvements and strengthen internal controls over fixed assets.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure proper asset tracking and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in fixed assets accounting or a related financial role.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting standards and principles related to fixed assets.
• Experience with financial reporting and audit support.
