About the Role

Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Infrastructure Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on enabling enterprises to securely deploy and integrate Cohere's AI solutions, specifically the North AI workspace platform. The role involves acting as a technical liaison between Cohere's core product and client engineering teams, addressing complex integration challenges in critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Forward Deployed Engineer will be instrumental in shaping how enterprises leverage AI. This involves leading the end-to-end deployment of Cohere's North platform within private cloud and on-premises environments. Key responsibilities include planning, configuration, testing, and rollout of these deployments. The role requires close collaboration with enterprise IT teams to understand and address infrastructure, security, and data management requirements. A significant aspect of the position involves designing and implementing deployment strategies tailored to specific client needs, ensuring adherence to data privacy and security standards. Troubleshooting and resolving deployment-related technical issues to minimize downtime is also a core function.

Key Duties

• Lead the planning, configuration, testing, and rollout of North deployments in private cloud and on-premises environments.
• Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security, and data management practices.
• Experiment rapidly and maintain high quality to deliver customer solutions.
• Design and implement deployment strategies aligned with client needs and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting deployments.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess experience and a demonstrated ability to work directly with customers. Experience deploying enterprise software in private or hybrid cloud environments is essential. Proven experience administering production Kubernetes clusters and expertise with Helm are required. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools like Git is necessary. Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization is also a key requirement. The ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities is critical for success in this role.
