About the Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Engineering Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is an opportunity to contribute within an innovative culture, working alongside a leadership team that values people, agility, and growth. The Graphic Designer will utilize advanced design technology to create visual communications, proposals, and presentations for multidisciplinary design projects across infrastructure, buildings, and landscape sectors. The position also involves leading and mentoring a team of graphic designers embedded within the Design Engineering Team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project branding.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the execution of graphic design deliverables for multiple engineering and design projects.
- Prepare layouts for proposals, presentations, reports, and visual media using current graphic design technology and software, with minimal supervision.
- Undertake complex graphic design assignments.
- Design and prepare art and copy layouts in accordance with company and client style manuals and project branding requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical/Design Directors, Managers, Engineers, Architects, and other project authors to review and enhance submitted artwork and text for clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
- Design and produce reproduction-ready graphics, including charts, diagrams, maps, tables, infographics, and posters for infrastructure, buildings, and landscape projects.
- Modify existing artwork and provide reproduction data, such as reduction sizing, quantity, file formats, and paper/ink selection for print and digital outputs.
- Translate complex technical information and engineering data into clear, visually engaging content for clients and stakeholders.
- Lead a functional team of Graphic Designers to ensure timely completion of assignments and consistent quality standards across multiple disciplines.
- Review the work of junior designers for accuracy, adherence to branding and style guidelines, and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate degree in Graphic Design, a certificate of completion from an accredited design/graphics course, or equivalent professional experience.
- Typically 5+ years of related work experience in advanced graphic design.
- Proficiency in graphic design technology and software for complex assignments, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and presentation tools.
- Thorough knowledge of graphics production techniques and reproduction/printing processes, including preparation of press-ready and digital-ready files.
- Ability to work with complex documents and technical content, such as proposals, reports, engineering drawings, diagrams, and data visualizations.
- Strong attention to detail, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule, and complete large-scale, complex graphic design assignments on time, across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven potential to perform in a lead capacity, providing technical guidance, feedback, and quality review to team members.
- Strong collaborative skills for working with Technical Engineers, Architects, and project authors in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to apply and maintain strict corporate style and branding standards across diverse media formats and multiple disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret and visually express complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a wide range of design tasks within an Engineering Team environment.
