The Head Chef Role

This full-time, on-site Head Chef position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a luxury hospitality or F&B environment. This vacancy is exclusively for accomplished senior culinary professionals. Candidates must currently hold or have most recently held one of the following positions: Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef, or Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe development, and the execution of high-quality dishes aligned with the venue’s concept and standards.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, organize schedules, monitor food preparation, and maintain strict food safety and hygiene practices.
• Implement cost control measures, manage inventory, and collaborate with management on menu pricing, supplier relationships, and seasonal offerings.
• Lead the kitchen team by example, fostering a professional and inclusive culture, and consistently delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in culinary roles, with previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in high-end restaurants or luxury hotels.
• Relevant culinary diploma or degree from an accredited institution; advanced certifications are an advantage.
• Strong culinary expertise, including advanced cooking techniques, menu development, and plating presentation.
• Proven track record in kitchen leadership, team management, and staff training within upscale or fine-dining environments.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and best practices in hygiene and kitchen organization.
• Ability to manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships to maintain quality and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to develop innovative menus that reflect local and international culinary trends.

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with front-of-house teams and management.
• Adaptability to a multicultural work environment and familiarity with the regional market in Riyadh or the Middle East is beneficial.
