About the Role

Mada Al Saudia for Trading & Development is seeking a highly practical and organized Head of Accounting to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires strong expertise in managing accounts, integrating sales with inventory and collections, and utilizing advanced accounting systems. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in leveraging artificial intelligence tools for data analysis and comprehensive report generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including monthly and annual financial closings.
• Prepare and review trial balances and comprehensive financial statements.
• Monitor customer and supplier accounts, ensuring timely collections.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and review accounts for shipping and electronic payment companies.
• Oversee inventory, returns, spoilage, and product costing.
• Review e-commerce sales and cash-on-delivery transactions.
• Generate profitability reports, cash flow statements, and aging analyses for debts.
• Review Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance and electronic invoicing processes.
• Develop and implement internal control procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
• Lead and manage the accounting team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Prepare clear and concise financial reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including supervisory experience.
• Proven experience within commercial, distribution, or e-commerce sectors.
• Proficiency in at least one ERP system such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with Power BI skills preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in inventory management, costing, sales, returns, and collections.
• Solid understanding of VAT regulations and electronic invoicing in Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements and analytical reports.
• High level of accuracy, commitment, efficiency, and problem-solving capabilities.

Required AI Proficiency

• Ability to use ChatGPT or similar AI tools for data analysis and report generation.
• Skill in leveraging AI to identify discrepancies and errors in financial data.
• Experience in automating repetitive accounting tasks and report generation using AI.
• Capability to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable indicators for decision-making.
• Proficiency in creating monitoring dashboards using Excel or Power BI.
