About the Medical Laboratory Technician Role
Tadawi Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join its clinical laboratory team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is an opportunity for an early-career professional to contribute to patient care within a healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, process, and handle clinical specimens, including blood, tissue, and fluids, safely and accurately according to established laboratory protocols.
- Perform routine and advanced laboratory investigations across Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology departments, adhering to international standards.
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory analyzers and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Internal Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards to maintain the integrity of laboratory results.
- Accurately document, verify, and log test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Maintain adherence to bio-safety regulations, occupational health standards, and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Applied Medical Sciences is required.
- A valid registration and classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a "Medical Laboratory Technician" is mandatory.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy (blood sampling) is necessary.
- Hands-on experience with modern laboratory automation is required.
- Strong attention to detail is essential for accurate testing and reporting.
- High analytical skills are necessary for interpreting laboratory data.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
