Head of Data & AI Section

About the Role

Al Majed *** is seeking a Head of Data & AI Section to lead the organization's Data and Artificial Intelligence strategy. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing the establishment and management of enterprise data infrastructure, driving data governance, data quality, integration, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities.

The role focuses on leveraging data and AI technologies to enable data-driven decision-making, improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and create business value through innovation and digital transformation. The Head of Data & AI will lead initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization's Data and Artificial Intelligence strategy and roadmap.
• Establish and oversee an enterprise-wide Data Governance Framework, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Lead the design, development, and management of enterprise data architecture, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse platforms.
• Define and implement the organization's Artificial Intelligence adoption strategy, leading the development and deployment of Machine Learning models and Generative AI applications.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Business Intelligence capabilities, including executive dashboards and performance monitoring.
• Manage the portfolio of Data and AI projects, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Build, lead, and manage a high-performing Data and AI team, fostering innovation and professional development.
• Coordinate with the Cybersecurity Department to ensure data protection, access controls, and compliance with privacy regulations.

Management Responsibilities

• Propose and manage departmental operational plans and budgets.
• Recommend the selection and adoption of data and AI technologies and platforms.
• Manage departmental human, technical, and financial resources.
• Supervise technology vendors, contracts, and service providers.
• Review and approve technical project deliverables.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data and AI strategies.
• Proven leadership in establishing and managing enterprise data infrastructure.
• Strong background in data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Machine Learning models, Generative AI applications, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
