About the Role

Robert Walters is seeking a Human Resources Director to join a globally recognised organisation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing the entire HR cycle and reporting directly to the Chief of Shared Services. The role is central to shaping the people strategy across all business units within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing comprehensive HR operations within complex environments.
  • Developing and executing people strategies that enhance employee engagement and organisational performance.
  • Managing end-to-end HR functions, ideally within large or multinational organisations in fast-evolving sectors.
  • Leading talent management programmes, including succession planning, learning and development initiatives, and performance reviews.
  • Managing change projects or organisational transformations with empathy and resilience.
  • Analysing workforce data to inform decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in human resources, with substantial experience overseeing comprehensive HR operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing people-centric strategies.
  • Deep understanding of Saudi Arabian labour law and international best practices in human resources management.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using HR data to inform decision-making.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams and handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting at executive-level meetings or large group settings.
  • Ability to navigate regulatory frameworks while remaining attuned to cultural nuances specific to Saudi Arabia.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively towards shared goals.
