About the Host/Hostess Role
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guests experience the company's established "Gold Standards" of service from the moment they arrive.
Contributing to Guest Excellence
As a Host/Hostess, you will play a key role in managing the dining room flow and delivering gracious, thoughtful service daily. This involves ensuring that all guests are welcomed and seated efficiently, contributing directly to their overall dining experience and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and determine the size of their party.
- Seat guests promptly at clean, available tables, assisting with chairs and presenting menus.
- Guide guests through dining areas and provide any necessary assistance.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including organizing seating for groups with special needs.
- Ensure place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and standard items.
- Verify menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, following clean-as-you-go procedures.
Operational Standards and Team Collaboration
- Adhere to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Complete all required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate with guests and colleagues using clear, professional language, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
- No related work experience is required for this position.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No specific license or certification is required.
Physical Demands and Workplace Expectations
The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Candidates must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. This position also involves performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
