The Host/Hostess Role

Westin Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host/Hostess for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dining areas and upholding service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests efficiently by finding clean, available tables, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menus.
• Guide guests through dining rooms and provide necessary assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings, organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and other standard items.
• Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: 0-1 year in a similar role.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Adherence to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Completion of safety training and certifications.
• Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation in a team-oriented environment, contributing to a positive guest experience within the hotel's dining facilities.
