Position Summary

Egis is seeking an HSE Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring rigorous compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies across various building, road, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The HSE Inspector will be instrumental in identifying potential hazards, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a robust safety culture within project operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to established health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Review and evaluate safety plans and risk assessments for diverse projects.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness sessions to staff and subcontractors, promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings, corrective actions, and HSE performance metrics.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
  • Stay updated on changes in HSE legislation and implement necessary adjustments to company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies for projects.
  • Support the creation and execution of emergency response plans, including conducting drills and training exercises.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to integrate HSE practices into all aspects of operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (construction, civil, or a related field).
  • Relevant HSE certifications (*, NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within building, road, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local Saudi Arabian and international HSE regulations and standards.
