About the Role
Azure is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across multiple project sites in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience, focusing on ensuring full compliance with local regulations, enforcing best-in-class safety standards, mitigating risks, and cultivating a strong safety culture.
Role Overview
The HSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management within the organization's operations. This involves strategic planning, operational execution, and continuous monitoring to maintain a safe and compliant work environment across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure all site activities comply with safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of firefighting systems, fire alarms, and compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Lead root-cause analyses for incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitor environmental compliance, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Deliver regular HSE training, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and emergency drills.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, safety statistics, and compliance documents.
- Prepare periodic HSE performance reports for management.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure integrated safety practices.
- Participate in client and consultant HSE meetings, resolving safety concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with authorities and external auditors when required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience (5-10 years) in HSE roles within construction, infrastructure, or landscape projects.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations, safety standards, and risk management methodologies.
- Proven experience leading HSE teams and managing multi-site operations.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage incidents, emergencies, and regulatory inspections effectively.
Work Location
This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring presence across various project sites as needed.
