About the HS&E Specialist Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Saudi National HS&E Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a dynamic environment. The role involves ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards across project operations.

Key Responsibilities

The HS&E Specialist will support project and program management teams in the implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) programs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and corporate standards. This includes:

  • Administering site-specific SH&E plans to meet regulatory, client, and company obligations.
  • Conducting audits and site inspections to verify compliance with corporate SH&E standards, identify hazards, and guide personnel on risk mitigation.
  • Preparing reports on audits, inspections, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Monitoring project planning and execution against Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.
  • Supporting incident reporting, investigation, and occupational injury management processes.
  • Analyzing trends from audits, inspections, and incidents to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with new employee safety inductions and onboarding.
  • Delivering SH&E training programs and promoting industry best practices.
  • Maintaining accurate SH&E training records and documentation.
  • Participating in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and workforce awareness sessions.
  • Collaborating with project teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture.
  • Supporting emergency preparedness activities and contributing to safety performance improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) roles.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, requirements, and reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety-related industry standards and best practices, including ANSI and NFPA.
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Experience delivering safety training and awareness programs.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • The ability to identify risks and implement practical corrective and preventive actions.

Additional Considerations

Professional safety certifications are advantageous. Experience on major infrastructure, transportation, rail, or construction projects is desirable. Knowledge of risk management methodologies and occupational safety management systems, along with experience in multicultural and fast-paced project environments, will be beneficial.
